Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you will lead the modernization of enterprise applications into cloud-native, microservices-based platforms, guiding architecture and engineering standards. You will drive digital transformation for customer care and back-office operations, partnering with business leaders to align tech investments with strategic goals. You’ll design scalable, secure distributed systems on AWS/GCP, champion DevSecOps and modern front-end/API-first approaches, and mentor engineers to foster technical excellence. This is a hands-on leadership role with a clear impact on Spectrum’s products and customer experience. Compensation / Benefits * Oversee architectural modernization of .NET applications to cloud-native microservices * Define technical strategy for cloud adoption, modernization, and software quality * Lead digital transformation initiatives for customer service, call centers, and back-office teams * Design scalable, secure distributed systems using AWS and GCP * Promote DevSecOps, CI/CD automation, and infrastructure as code * Guide front-end modernization and API-first architectures * Lead design reviews, governance, and technical decision-making across product teams * Evaluate and implement AI-assisted development tools to boost productivity and code quality * Mentor senior engineers and foster a culture of learning and collaboration * Partner with business leaders to align technology investments with strategic objectives Tasks * 8+ years of software engineering experience * 4-5 years experience with GitLab or GitHub * 2-3 years cloud infrastructure management and architecture experience * 2-3 years experience with Helm and Kubernetes tools * Expert-level proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core/.NET 8+ and OO design * Experience building/deploying microservices in containerized architectures * Experience with GCP services (Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL) * Strong experience with Git-based source control platforms and CI/CD pipelines * Strong front-end development with ReactJS/TypeScript/JavaScript/HTML/CSS * Experience integrating front-end with REST APIs and modern auth mechanisms * Knowledge of OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML, JWT, SSO * Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB) * Understanding of performance, observability, logging, monitoring, resiliency * SSDLC practices including static analysis, remediation, secure coding * Experience using AI-assisted development tools (Kiro, Claude, GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q Developer) * Ability to make technical decisions and take ownership * Adherence to CI, version control, and automation best practices * Exceptional leadership and mentoring with cross-team influence * Ability to communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders Key requirements * comprehensive pay and benefits package * hybrid work environment * partially remote work (up to one day from home per week)
