Experteer Overview In this role you lead strategic privacy and data-governance efforts across Microsoft Security, shaping how data is collected, accessed, used, and protected. You partner with engineering, legal, privacy, and business teams to turn complex requirements into practical guidance. You will drive privacy for AI initiatives and establish repeatable governance frameworks. You contribute to a culture of trust by balancing security innovation with responsible data use. Compensation / Benefits * Lead cross-organizational privacy and data-governance programs for Security products and data platforms * Define governance for data lifecycle: collection, access, use, sharing, retention, transformation, protection * Collaborate with engineering, research, legal, compliance, and business teams to translate data-use requirements into actionable guidance * Steer privacy and data governance for AI including model training, anonymization, de-identification, and differential privacy * Develop decision frameworks, standards, playbooks, and certification processes to clarify and audit privacy requirements * Identify privacy risks across products and drive resolution with technical analysis and stakeholder alignment * Act as trusted advisor on high-impact privacy decisions, communicating options, tradeoffs, and regulatory implications Tasks * Bachelorās Degree in unknown field and 6+ years in engineering, TPM, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent * 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects * Ability to meet Microsoft security background check requirements * Experience translating privacy, legal, or regulatory requirements into technical/operational needs * Experience with privacy engineering, data protection, or governance * Ability to communicate complex concepts to engineering, legal/privacy partners, and leadership * Knowledge of anonymization, de-identification, differential privacy, tokenization, synthetic data, or privacy-preserving ML (preferred) Key requirements *
