Job description

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with Automation to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Java development, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, and test automation. This role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable enterprise applications while implementing robust automated testing solutions.

The candidate should be comfortable working in an Agile environment and collaborating with developers, QA engineers, business analysts, and other stakeholders., * Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.

  • Develop scalable and resilient RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Implement business logic using Java, Spring, and related frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain automated test frameworks for web, API, and backend applications.
  • Create and execute automated functional, regression, integration, and API tests.
  • Work with Selenium, REST Assured, JUnit, TestNG, or similar automation frameworks.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development and testing best practices.
  • Troubleshoot application and automation failures and perform root-cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with QA and development teams to integrate automation into the software development lifecycle.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment.
  • Work with Agile/Scrum teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality software.
  • Identify opportunities to improve application quality, test coverage, automation efficiency, and development processes.
  • Support production issues and participate in defect resolution and performance improvements.
  • Document technical designs, test strategies, automation frameworks, and development processes.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17+.
  • Strong knowledge of Spring Framework / Spring Boot.
  • Experience developing REST APIs and microservices.
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, design patterns, and Java collections.
  • Experience with JUnit and/or TestNG.
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver or equivalent UI automation tools.
  • Experience with REST Assured or similar API automation frameworks.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
  • Experience with Git and source-code management.
  • Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD tools.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Cucumber / BDD.
  • Experience with Kafka or other messaging technologies.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with Maven or Gradle.
  • Experience with SonarQube and code-quality tools.
  • Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter.
  • Knowledge of Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar databases.
  • Experience working with enterprise financial or highly regulated applications.
  • Familiarity with TDD/BDD and shift-left testing practices.
