Job description
You’ll keep our platform healthy and you’ll shape how we build software with AI.
We already have broad AI adoption across engineering and we’re looking for someone to help define what comes next. You’ll figure out where AI actually changes how we build software, turn what works into shared practice and tooling, and drive it across the org. We’re vendor neutral on AI tools so you’ll have room to try them out and shape what we adopt.
The other half is keeping the lights on and you’ll handle the day to day issues that would otherwise pull product engineers off their work. You’ll start embedded on one product team so you have real context on how our engineers work, with scope that grows across teams over time.
This is a fully remote position anywhere in North or South America.
How You’ll Make an Impact Here:
- You’ll be the primary engineer responsible for the infrastructure (as code), CI/CD systems, mobile release automation, data pipelines, and the monitoring that tells us when any of it breaks
- You’ll help set the direction for how we use AI across engineering and build the shared tooling, agent workflows, and automation behind it
- You’ll scale yourself across engineering through documentation, demos, and tooling other engineers can use on their own
- You’ll work closely with engineers across all our teams and you’ll have real influence on the direction of our engineering practice
Requirements
- You have 5+ years of professional software experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or a related field
- You are comfortable working across many different codebases, including those you don’t fully know yet
- You are genuinely excited about AI and where software development is headed and you have opinions about how to apply it to real systems
- You have built tooling that other engineers actually adopted
- You can identify areas for improvement and drive projects to completion without a manager always directing your work
Our Stack:
- GitHub Actions, Fastlane
- Heroku and AWS
- PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and DBT
- Backends in Ruby on Rails and Node.js
- Mobile in native iOS and Android, Flutter, and React Native/Expo
Bonus:
- Experience with automated mobile app release processes
- Experience with data pipelines
- Experience maintaining and tuning production databases
- Experience with incident response and disaster recovery
- Interest in mental health, brain training, and meditation
Benefits & conditions
- Competitive salary and equity
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance for you and your family
- Distributed team flexibility, with a home-office stipend and co-working reimbursement
- Annual learning, wellness, and travel stipends
- Generous PTO, flexible sick leave, and paid parental leave
- Annual company meetup in fun location
