Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you design and implement high-performance software that blends classical and quantum resources to enable scalable quantum computing. You work with cross-functional teams across software, hardware, and research to deliver latency- and throughput-critical solutions. You will build interfaces across CPUs, GPUs, FPGAs, and quantum systems, and improve reliability and observability in demanding environments. This is an opportunity to shape the Infleqtion quantum platform while learning and contributing to a fast-moving, collaborative field. Compensation / Benefits * Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software for quantum-classical computing systems * Build software components that coordinate computation across classical and quantum resources * Develop systems meeting stringent latency, throughput, bandwidth, and reliability requirements * Integrate software with heterogeneous platforms including CPUs, GPUs, FPGAs, accelerators, and high-speed interconnects * Analyze performance to identify bottlenecks and improve scalability/reliability * Develop tooling, benchmarks, test infrastructure, and observability capabilities * Troubleshoot issues spanning applications, OS, drivers, runtimes, networking, firmware, and hardware * Collaborate across software, physics, electrical engineering, and external partners to develop new capabilities * Write maintainable, well-tested code and participate in reviews and documentation * Mentor other engineers and provide technical guidance * Prototype new technologies rapidly as the ecosystem evolves Tasks * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field * 5+ years of embedded software development experience or equivalent * Strong programming experience in C++, C, Rust, or Python * Experience with performance-critical, distributed, embedded, scientific, or HPC systems * Solid software engineering fundamentals including testing, debugging, version control, and maintainable design * Experience working in Linux environments * Ability to diagnose complex problems across multiple system layers * Strong understanding of concurrency, memory, networking, data movement, latency, and throughput * Effective cross-disciplinary communication and collaboration skills * Open to learning quantum-domain concepts (quantum experience not required) Key requirements * 100% company paid medical, dental, vision coverage * Employer funded Health Savings Account * Unlimited Paid Time Off * 401(k) Matching * Life and AD&D insurance * Flexible Healthcare Savings Account
