Senior. Principal Platform Lead (Onsite )

Experteer Overview In this role you lead a 10-15 person Platform/Hardware Engineering team within a Linux/Windows COTS compute environment to support project modernization. You drive technical delivery, staffing, and career development while aligning with program goals and customer expectations. Your leadership ensures successful deployment and integration of complex systems across CONUS/OCONUS sites. You’ll shape program success through collaboration with engineering leadership and program managers, delivering high-quality solutions that advance RTX’s mission. Compensation / Benefits * Lead and develop a 10-15 member Platform/Hardware Engineering team with mentoring and performance feedback * Oversee program development and sustainment in Linux/Windows COTS compute environments * Coordinate staffing, training, and development to meet program needs * Support deployment and installation of complex systems at CONUS/OCONUS sites (Linux/Windows, network design, COTS integration) * Monitor and report on cost, schedule, and performance to align with organizational goals * Provide technical guidance and facilitate communication between the program and Functional Engineering Leadership * Collaborate with program managers to ensure customer satisfaction with delivered products/services * Participate in proposal development, including cost estimates and BOEs, for senior leadership * Ensure compliance with ASME, IEEE, IPC standards and organizational policies Tasks * Bachelor in Science in STEM * 10+ years of related experience * Experience with Agile (Scrum/SAFe) * Experience with program cost and schedule monitoring * Experience with deployment and installation of complex systems * Experience with Windows OS, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and VMware * Experience with Visio, CREO, AutoCAD, cPDM (Windchill), and Microsoft Office Suite * Active TS/SCI security clearance required from day 1 * U.S. citizenship Key requirements * medical, dental, and vision insurance * 401(k) match * flexible work schedules * Employee Scholar Program * paid time off and holidays * relocation eligibility
