Experteer Overview As Lead Software Engineer, you design, develop, and support Murex-based solutions and integrations across Front Office, Risk, Back Office, and Accounting. You’ll lead a team to deliver scalable investment reporting and derivatives platforms, connecting Murex with multiple data sources and downstream systems. The role blends hands-on development with architecture leadership in a fast-changing financial tech environment. You’ll help modernize reporting, automation, and data flows to improve efficiency and controls. Compensation / Benefits * Design, develop, and support Murex-based solutions across multiple business areas * Build and maintain integrations between Murex and internal peripheral applications * Translate requirements into scalable technical solutions using Murex components, APIs, SQL, ETL pipelines, and reporting frameworks * Develop and support Murex Datamart reporting solutions and data layers * Develop and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes (SQL Server, SSIS, AWS Glue, Oracle) * Design and support operational, regulatory, valuation, accounting, and management reports * Support trade lifecycle data flows (capture, valuation, reconciliation, reporting) and end-of-day processing * Perform root-cause analysis and resolve complex production issues involving Murex workflows and interfaces * Collaborate with cross-functional teams in agile/hybrid delivery models * Lead design sessions and architecture discussions for end-to-end Murex and derivatives platform solutions * Support SIT, UAT, regression testing, releases, upgrades, and migrations * Contribute to automation and process optimization to improve STP and controls * Mentor developers on Murex practices, integration design, and release readiness * Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Kiro) to accelerate delivery and improve quality Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience * Five+ years of software engineering experience with Java, .NET/C#, SQL * Hands-on Murex development or functional development experience * Experience integrating Murex with internal and external apps via APIs, ETL, files, or batch orchestration * Strong SQL Server and/or Oracle experience (queries, procedures, data modeling, performance tuning) * Experience with ETL/data integration tools (SSIS, AWS Glue, Control-M) * Experience developing/reporting with SSRS, BI tools, Excel VBA/macros * Familiarity with OOD/OOP, Spring/J2EE, SOA, DI * Experience with APIs/messaging frameworks and microservices (REST, Kafka, Swagger/OpenAPI) * CI/CD and deployment tools (Visual Studio, Git/Bitbucket, Maven, Jenkins, Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes) * Working knowledge of Windows/Linux, scripting, batch scheduling, monitoring * Understanding of derivatives products and lifecycle (FX, swaps, rates, P&L, regulatory reporting) * Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication; able to work independently and in teams * Ability to manage priorities and deliver under tight deadlines * Willingness to work in a hybrid office environment and travel occasionally Key requirements * Competitive pay * Bonus eligibility * Pension plan * 401k match * Medical insurance * Tuition reimbursement
