Senior Software Engineer - Murex

Experteer Overview In this role you will be a hands-on Murex Developer within the Investment Reporting Technology team, delivering end-to-end Murex-based solutions and data integrations for investment accounting, regulatory and management reporting. You will partner with Finance, Accounting, and Operations to enable scalable, compliant reporting and automation across the derivatives lifecycle. The position offers exposure to modern data platforms, cloud-ready workflows, and a mix of development, integration, and production support. You’ll help modernize investment reporting while maintaining strong controls and reliability. Compensation / Benefits * Design, develop, and support Murex-based solutions across Front Office, Risk, Back Office, Accounting, and Datamart/reporting functions * Build and maintain integrations between Murex and internal peripheral applications and downstream reporting platforms * Translate requirements into scalable technical solutions using Murex, APIs, SQL, ETL pipelines, and reporting frameworks * Develop Murex Datamart reporting solutions including schemas, feeders, batches, and data layers * Develop and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes using SQL Server, SSIS, AWS Glue, Oracle * Create and support reporting solutions using SSRS, BI tools, Excel VBA/macros, and related platforms * Support trade lifecycle data flows, EOD/EOM processing, and downstream data distribution * Troubleshoot production issues related to Murex workflows, data loads, and reporting discrepancies * Lead design sessions and architecture discussions for end-to-end Murex and derivatives platform solutions * Mentor developers on Murex development practices, integration design, and release readiness * Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and improve productivity Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience * Three+ years of software engineering experience with Java, .NET/C#, SQL * Hands-on Murex development or functional experience in derivatives-related areas * Experience integrating Murex with internal/external applications via APIs, ETL, files, or messaging * Strong SQL Server and/or Oracle skills with data modeling and performance tuning * Experience with ETL/integration tools like SSIS, AWS Glue, Control-M * Experience with SSRS and enterprise reporting platforms * Familiarity with OOD/OOP, Spring, J2EE, SOA, DI, and core architecture principles * Experience with APIs, REST, Kafka, microservices, and CI/CD tools * Operating knowledge of Windows Server and Linux, scripting, batch scheduling, monitoring Key requirements * Competitive pay * Bonus eligible * Benefits package * 401k match * Tuition reimbursement * Medical insurance
