IT Product Owner - Global SAP Platform FICO

Experteer Overview In this Product Owner role, you lead end-to-end delivery for the Global SAP FICO ecosystem, translating business strategy into executable features. You act as the voice of the customer, shaping requirements from design to deployment and collaborating with diverse teams across Agile and Waterfall projects. You drive backlog, BRDs and detailed user stories, ensuring technical feasibility and long-term product health. This is a fast-paced, transformation-focused role at Costco IT, with a strong emphasis on delivering value for members and business partners. Compensation / Benefits * Manage end-to-end intake for Global SAP platform requests and classify them (Project, Epic, or User Story) * Own full delivery lifecycle of features/projects and remove impediments for timely delivery * Author BRDs for waterfall projects and detailed acceptance criteria for agile delivery * Prioritize backlog to align with business strategy and product goals * Collaborate with SAP Basis and Platform teams to confirm scope, dependencies, and timelines * Lead Design Thinking sessions to define complex requirements and project scope * Define acceptance criteria for each user story and refine backlog with the team * Coordinate and drive UAT and release activities, ensuring complete documentation post-implementation * Monitor product health and drive continuous improvement across delivery teams * Communicate effectively with stakeholders and escalate impediments when needed * Work with multiple teams to manage dependencies and support release planning * Conduct formal reviews and ensure alignment with business requirements Tasks * 5+ years as Product Owner or equivalent leadership in complex delivery * Deep SAP FICO expertise with proven end-to-end delivery of enterprise solutions * Leadership in Agile and/or Waterfall environments * Ability to collaborate with technical teams to align on scope and dependencies * Experience with creating documentation for varied audiences * Experience in complex software development environments * Strong requirements elicitation capabilities * Certified Product Owner within 180 days * Proficient in user story creation and standard documentation tools * Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills * Proven ability to drive end-to-end delivery and stakeholder alignment Key requirements * health benefits (medical/dental/vision) * 401(k) * stock purchase plan * paid time off * short-term disability * long-term disability
