Experteer Overview In this role you will lead the Privacy & Data Protection program at Intuitive, ensuring global compliance with data privacy laws and AI-related considerations. You’ll advise executives, manage internal and external counsel, and shape risk-based strategies to protect personal data. You work closely with engineers, HR, IT, and product teams to embed strong privacy practices. The position offers high-impact work at the intersection of law, technology, and healthcare, with a focus on safeguarding data assets and enabling responsible innovation. You’ll drive readiness for evolving regulations and data protection initiatives. Compensation / Benefits * Counsel on Privacy & Data Protection matters across business units and leadership * Enhance the privacy program and implement risk-based data protection frameworks * Advise on licensing and monetization of data assets, including AI data use * Analyze and implement new privacy laws; lead readiness and enforcement considerations * Support data breach investigations, remediations, and regulator inquiries * Draft and negotiate data use, data licensing, M&A and data-sharing agreements * Mentor and develop the legal team; lead cross-functional privacy initiatives * Allocate Legal resources to advance privacy goals within budget and timelines * Identify strategic opportunities to improve data protection posture Tasks * Juris Doctorate * Bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction * IAPP certification * Minimum of thirteen years’ experience in global data privacy and compliance * Experience with non-U.S. counsels and multiple jurisdictions * Health care industry experience including life sciences or medical devices (preferred) * Strong written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex legal issues clearly * Contract drafting and negotiation experience, including data protection agreements and BAAs * Ability to manage multiple tasks in a rapidly changing environment * Management experience overseeing legal teams and cross-functional projects Key requirements *
