Data Manager (MMIS)

Experteer Overview In this Data Manager role, you will oversee data systems for accuracy, security, and compliance to support decision-making and efficiency. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders to design and maintain data services, databases, and governance processes. You will drive data governance, mapping, and corrective actions, ensuring Medicaid/healthcare payer data quality at scale. Compensation / Benefits * Collaborate with stakeholders on data services design, implementation, and support * Oversee database architecture and data repositories creation * Participate in Data Governance activities as requested * Ensure adherence to data governance policies across projects and agencies * Develop the Data Management Plan * Lead data mapping and conversion activities * Deploy Data Corrective Action processes as needed * Provide project status information as required Tasks * 8 years of experience managing Medicaid or major health care payer data projects * 5 years of experience with visualization/analytics tools (Tableau, Power BI, Excel) * 6 years of experience as a Data Manager (datacenter or infrastructure projects) * 6 years of experience with implementation and operations of technology deployments * Advanced understanding of SQL or MS Access with relational joins; knowledge of at least one scripting/programming language (e.g., VBA, Python, R, SAS, .NET, C++, Java) * Working knowledge of Medicaid Claims and Administrative data * Understanding of HL7 and FHIR data standards * Working knowledge of MITA 3.0 and CMS Conditions for Enhanced Funding * Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or other technical degree Key requirements * health insurance coverage * voluntary dental and vision programs * life and disability insurance * retirement savings plan * paid holidays * paid time off (PTO) or vacation/sick time
