Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you protect customer trust by engineering and evaluating security across networks, endpoints, servers, and applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, review, and implement security controls for large-scale systems. You’ll incident-respond to violations and help raise the security bar across Amazon. The position combines hands-on engineering with guidance and advocacy for secure development. This is a chance to shape security practices at scale and work on high-impact projects. Compensation / Benefits * Preserve Amazon customer trust * Perform application security reviews of critical systems and services * Engineer security solutions to protect systems, networks and applications * Security design and testing of the most critical Amazon applications * Respond to security violations, vulnerabilities, and event detection systems * Provide security policy guidance and consultations * Evangelize security within Amazon and advocate for customer trust * Be part of a team on-call rotation * Provide security guidance and support to Amazon builders * Develop and deliver projects that raise the security bar at scale * Work closely with partner teams and stakeholders to drive security improvements * Troubleshoot, maintain and improve internal tooling to reduce overhead and improve efficiency Tasks * 3+ years of programming in Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++ or similar OO language * 2+ years of scripting, programming, and security code review in a non-internship context * 2+ years troubleshooting systems issues, analyzing logs, or automating basic tasks via command line tools * Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or 2+ years IT Security experience * Knowledge of networking protocols (HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP) * Knowledge of security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques * Experience troubleshooting systems issues, analyzing logs, or automating basic tasks using command line tools (non-internship) Key requirements * health insurance (medical, dental, vision) * RSUs * sign-on compensation * 401(k) matching * paid time off * parential leave
