Software Engineer - Data Platform Team

Experteer Overview In this role you will design, build, and evolve a large-scale data platform that powers millions of users. You’ll work within the Engineering team to create resilient, scalable distributed systems and optimize performance across data pipelines. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver end-to-end platform features and ensure smooth cloud operations. This position offers a hybrid work setup in Santa Clara with opportunities to shape the core data foundation of Eightfold’s products. Compensation / Benefits * Lead architecture and design of the core data platform to enable auto-scaling, fault tolerance, horizontal scalability, and load balancing * Drive performance through data processing optimization, caching, and database query tuning * Extend platform capabilities by researching new data techniques and delivering features aligned with business needs * Diagnose and resolve complex issues in distributed systems and support deployment across environments * Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Analytics, Marketing, and Business teams to drive end-to-end product delivery * Manage cloud stack across AWS and Azure Tasks * 2-6 years of experience building scalable data platforms * Proven experience with highly available distributed systems * Experience with high-volume data pipelines, ingestion, and integration * Strong backend skills with AWS, Python, and Flask * Solid understanding of distributed system design principles * Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) * Analytical problem-solving skills and data analysis aptitude * Proactive ownership mindset and ability to ship reliable features in a fast-paced environment Key requirements * family medical coverage * vision and dental coverage * competitive base salary * equity awards * discretionary bonus * hybrid work model of Santa Clara office three days per week
