Senior Software Engineer - Data Platform Team

Experteer Overview In this role you will join Eightfold’s core Data Platform team to design, develop, and maintain large-scale, distributed data systems that power millions of users. You will drive architecture decisions and performance optimizations to ensure a resilient, scalable foundation for the product suite. Collaborating with cross-functional partners, you’ll push innovations in data processing, caching, and cloud-based delivery. Compensation / Benefits * Lead platform architecture and design for a distributed, scalable data platform * Drive performance engineering to optimize data processing, caching, and queries * Research and implement new data processing techniques and features * Diagnose and resolve complex issues in distributed systems and support deployment/operations * Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Analytics, Marketing, and Business teams for end-to-end delivery * Manage cloud workloads across AWS and Azure Tasks * 3-6+ years of backend development experience * Expertise in high-performance, high-throughput systems * Proficiency with AWS, Python, and Flask Framework * Strong understanding of distributed system design principles * Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) Key requirements * hybrid work model in Santa Clara * base salary $130,750-$181,000 (Zone A) * discretionary bonus up to 15% * pre-IPO equity (stock options) * comprehensive benefits: medical, vision, dental * equity awards eligibility
