Job description

We are seeking an experienced SAP BW/4HANA / SAP Datasphere Engineer to work the design, development, and optimization of enterprise data warehousing and analytics solutions. This role is responsible for building scalable data models, ensuring high-performance data integration, and assisting the transition to modern cloud-based data platforms. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical person with SAP knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to partner with technical and business teams to deliver robust analytics capabilities., * Design and implement complex data models in SAP BW/4HANA and SAP Datasphere.

  • Assist with modernization efforts, including migration from legacy BW systems and integration with cloud data platforms .
  • Build and optimize HANA native models, SQLScript logic, and calculation views
  • Develop high-performance ETL pipelines using SDI, SLT, or BODS.
  • Partner with analytics teams to deliver semantic models for SAC, or other BI tools.
  • Assist with incident resolution, performance tuning, and root cause analysis for SAP data systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable solutions.
  • Support DevOps processes including gCTS/CTS+, Git-based workflows, CI/CD automation.
  • Contribute to architecture roadmaps, technology evaluations, and long-term strategic planning.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • 2+ years of experience in SAP BW/4HANA or SAP BW on HANA
  • HANA modeling and SQLScript expertise
  • Experience designing complex BW objects (ADSOs, CompositeProviders, ODS Views)
  • Hands-on ABAP knowledge for transformations, user exits, and routines
  • Strong understanding of data modeling best practices and performance optimization

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • SAP to cloud migration experience (BW/4HANA or Datasphere).
  • Knowledge of SAC, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Exposure to SAP MDG or enterprise master data strategies.
  • Experience leading large-scale data initiatives or modernization programs.
