SRE and Platform Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role you will lead Platform Engineering and Site Reliability Engineering to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure enterprise platforms and modern web apps. You’ll mentor engineers, set reliability standards, and drive modernization across global teams. You’ll own observability, domain services, DNS, certificate management, CDN, and IaC solutions, partnering with security and engineering to improve availability and performance. This is a hands-on leadership role with a clear path to a Technical Manager position in SRE and Platform Engineering. Compensation / Benefits * Provide technical leadership across Platform Engineering and SRE functions * Set engineering standards, operational best practices, and reliability objectives * Drive technical decision-making for cloud infra, observability, automation, security, and tooling * Mentor engineers and provide technical coaching across disciplines * Lead roadmaps and continuous improvement initiatives * Evaluate and operationalize AI-assisted development tools and IaC automation * Lead enterprise SRE initiatives for availability, scalability, resiliency, performance, and operability * Oversee monitoring/observability platforms (APM, logging, tracing, RUM) and define dashboards/alerts * Govern global domain portfolio including DNS, certificate lifecycle, and vendor relationships * Provide AWS/Kubernetes/EKS, CDN, DNS, SSL/TLS, WAF, edge security guidance * Design/maintain Terraform modules and deployment pipelines; promote automated provisioning * Lead on-call during incidents and disaster recovery activities * Collaborate across North America, Europe, and APAC on architecture reviews and knowledge sharing * Support major incidents and after-hours escalations Tasks * 8+ years in enterprise apps, cloud platforms, or web technologies * 3+ years as Technical Lead, Senior Engineer, Architect, or equivalent * Strong experience with AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes/EKS, DNS, CDN, AWS WAF, SSL/TLS, observability platforms, CI/CD, and SRE practices * Experience troubleshooting large-scale client-facing web apps * Experience managing global domain portfolios * Experience with enterprise observability platforms and global support models * Experience building enterprise IaC frameworks and reusable Terraform modules * Experience using AI-assisted development tools and coding agents * AWS/Terraform/Kubernetes/SRE, networking, security, or cloud certifications Key requirements * Medical, Prescription, Dental & Vision Benefits * Health Savings Account (HSA) * Life & Disability Insurance * EAP * 401K Retirement Savings Plan * Certification and training opportunities
