Principal Solution Architect, Data (FPRS & CSWM)

Experteer Overview In this role you will define and govern enterprise-scale data-focused solution architecture, aligning business and technology goals across portfolios. You will shape reference architectures, guardrails, and data product patterns to enable secure, scalable solutions across multiple domains. You will partner with Enterprise Architecture, Engineering, Product, Cybersecurity, and Platform teams to embed governance, security, and compliance while advancing data-driven capabilities. This position offers impact through data products, AI-enabled solutions, and scalable platforms that improve underwriting, billing, and customer experiences. Compensation / Benefits * Define and maintain enterprise-scale solution architecture strategy, standards, and patterns across multiple platforms and domains * Create reference architectures, reusable design patterns, and golden paths for consistent delivery * Establish architectural guardrails to enable scalable, secure, and consistent designs * Provide architectural oversight across portfolios and liaise with EA, engineering, and product teams * Drive early engagement to identify cross-platform dependencies and risks * Define build vs. buy guidance and integration patterns with security and compliance * Promote data product thinking, governance, and ownership; champion operational resilience and performance * Lead discovery and design sessions for data solutions across core business areas * Mentor architects and engineers to raise architectural maturity across the organization * Represent solution architecture in enterprise forums and align roadmaps with stakeholders Tasks * Deep experience designing and governing enterprise-scale solution architectures across multiple teams and domains * Ability to define and drive adoption of architecture standards, frameworks, and reusable patterns * Strong understanding of modern tech ecosystems including APIs, cloud, data flows, and AI * Proven ability to balance business priorities, technical trade-offs, and risk at scale * Experience influencing technical direction without direct reporting authority * Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences * Experience in regulated or risk-sensitive environments with governance needs * Mentoring track record and experience in Agile/product-based delivery models * 15+ years of data integration/architecture/engineering/solution architecture or related fields * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related field * Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale data platforms or data products * Familiarity with data governance, metadata, and data quality practices * Strong skills in Python, PySpark, SQL * Experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, Kafka * Cloud platform experience (AWS/Azure/GCP) * Experience leading data product initiatives including PoCs * Executive stakeholder management and product management collaboration Key requirements * leadership development * philanthropic opportunities * supportive and flexible benefits * career growth opportunities * inclusive culture * data-driven impact
