Job description

Experteer Overview As a Machine Learning Engineer II at Chewy, you will shape and deploy ML solutions that empower Customer Care. You contribute across the full ML lifecycle, from data prep and model development to production deployment and monitoring. You’ll work with data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable ML products. This role offers the chance to impact customer experiences at scale and advance Chewy’s data-driven approach. Compensation / Benefits * Design robust data pipelines for ingestion, processing, and feature engineering * Ensure data quality for training and inference * Handle large datasets and apply data scaling techniques * Select and build ML models based on business needs and data * Train, evaluate, and fine-tune models for performance * Deploy models to production with scalability and maintainability * Implement monitoring and alerting for model health * Optimize inference speed and resource usage * Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and stakeholders * Communicate technical results to diverse audiences Tasks * Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field * 3+ years in ML engineering or similar role * Strong Python or equivalent programming skills * Experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) * SQL and relational database experience * Familiarity with AWS (Glue, Sagemaker, Athena, Redshift) * Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) * Solid understanding of ML algorithms and best practices * Excellent communication and presentation skills Key requirements * 401k * equity grant * annual bonus * comprehensive insurance (medical, vision, dental) * pet discounts * unlimited PTO
