Job description

The Senior Workday Analyst is instrumental in managing and optimizing the HRIS systems to enhance the operational efficiency of HR, payroll, and talent management functions. The role involves collaborating with the HR team to update, configure, and improve Workday processes, ensuring a seamless and integrated service environment that benefits our business customers. By leveraging advanced technical skills and extensive knowledge of Workday modules, this position contributes directly to maintaining the system of record for all personnel data and supports a culture of excellence and innovation within the organization., * Lead the comprehensive configuration and continuous improvement of all assigned Workday modules, ensuring they align with business objectives and enhance operational efficiency.

  • Collaborate closely with HR and IT teams to strategically support and optimize system functionality, contributing to an integrated and service-oriented HRIS environment.
  • Provide expert guidance and innovative solutions in the development, testing, and deployment of Workday processes, elevating system utilization and effectiveness.
  • Proactively manage and resolve system issues, identifying opportunities for process enhancements that drive operational excellence and positive user experiences.
  • Leverage advanced technical aptitude to deliver high-quality configurations and customizations, responding dynamically to evolving business requirements and delivering strategic value.

The Senior Workday Analyst will report directly to the Director of HRIS at SRS Heritage Group. The Director of HRIS is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and operational effectiveness of all HRIS-related functions within the organization.

This position does not have any direct reports. The Senior Workday Analyst will collaborate closely with team members across HR, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, and other relevant departments to ensure optimal system functionality and process improvements.

Organizational Context:

Within the SRS Heritage Group, the Senior Workday Analyst is an integral part of the HRIS team, contributing expertise and insight to support the company’s Workday processes. This role focuses on system configuration, updates, and enhancement activities, ensuring that HR-related systems operate at peak efficiency to support organizational goals and objectives.

Travel Requirements:

The Senior Workday Analyst position at SRS Heritage Group requires occasional travel, primarily for team collaboration and training purposes, to ensure alignment and advancement of HRIS processes.

The Senior Workday Analyst position primarily operates within a standard office environment at our Corporate office in McKinney, TX. The role necessitates prolonged periods of sitting and engagement with computer-based tasks, inclusive of typing, reading, and data entry, along with occasional lifting of light materials, such as documents and office supplies, not exceeding 20 pounds.   • Workday PRO Certification, or a minimum of 7 years’ experience in at least two of the following Workday modules:
  • Workday Human Capital Management (HCM)
  • Workday Compensation and Advanced Compensation
  • Demonstrated advanced technical aptitude and skills.
  • Proven understanding of HR operations and demonstrable experience with HR data systems.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both associates and management.
  • Strong attention to detail with the capability to manage multiple priorities, provide timely follow-up, and deliver resolutions.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while embracing frequent change., * Advanced Workday Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency in Workday Studio, Workday Report Writer, and Workday Prism Analytics, showcasing the ability to create complex reports and integrations.
  • Project Management Skills: Proven experience in leading Workday implementation or upgrade projects with a focus on enhancing user experience and process efficiency.
  • Change Management and Training: Experience in developing and executing change management strategies and training programs to improve adoption and proficiency in Workday functionalities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: History of successful collaboration with IT, Finance, and other business units to integrate Workday solutions with organizational processes and systems.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a track record of leveraging data insights to drive decision-making and process improvements.
  • Certification in LEAN or Six Sigma: Certification or demonstrated application of LEAN or Six Sigma methodologies to streamline HR processes and optimize system configurations.
  • Vendor Management Experience: Experience in managing vendor relationships, ensuring alignment and adherence to project timelines, specifications, and service-level agreements.
  • Technical Proficiencies: Familiarity with programming languages and tools relevant to Workday integrations, such as Java, XML, or XSLT, to support custom development and troubleshooting needs.
  • Regulatory Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of relevant employment laws and regulations to ensure Workday configurations enforce compliance and mitigate potential risks.
  • Commitment to Continuous Learning: Dedication to upskilling and staying abreast of emerging Workday features and best practices, contributing to the continuous improvement of HRIS capabilities.

Minimum Education:

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.

Preferred Education:

A master’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, or a related field is ideal, complementing the minimum requirement of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Minimum Years Of Work Experience:

The Senior Workday Analyst role requires a minimum of 7 years of experience in at least two of the specified Workday modules.

Certifications:

Workday PRO Certification (required or preferred with 7 years’ experience in at least two specified Workday modules)
