Project Manager IT Continuity & DR Data Centre

We are looking for a passionate IT Professional to join the IT Infrastructure Department (“Platform Grid”) of ABN AMRO Clearing NL in the role of Technical Project Manager (“Process Enabler”). The Platform Grid delivers Datacentre hosting services, Public & Private Cloud, Middleware, Database services, Networks and End User Services, Operational Resilience, Service Desk and 24*7 Operations Control.

The role of Technical Project Manager is part of the Global IT Resilience & Recovery Block within the Platform Grid, which is responsible for IT Continuity Management, IT Disaster Recovery and Backup & Restore capabilities across APAC, EMEA, US, and LATAM. The Project Manager role is a temporary project assignment for 6 Months and is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the new EU 3rd Data Centre Project - Initiation Phase (with view to extend)., Lead end-to-end delivery of a new 3rd Data Centre Project, from Initiation, Design, Build & Handover to Operations

• Define & manage Scope, Schedule & Risk, focusing on critical path delivery
• Translate Business & Technical requirements into a clear Project Charter/Plan
• Collaborate closely with IT Leadership to define strategy and Technical Engineering to develop the solution
• Provide structured Project Reporting - Status updates, Project collateral & Executive updates
• Oversea vendor/contractor engagements & execution

This position is located at our Amsterdam Office, requires a minimum of 3 days per week onsite and may involve Travel and/or work outside normal business hours.

With the following results (SMART)

• Develop Business Case - Investment Proposal for new Data Centre
• Develop Business & Technical Requirements matrix
• Develop Project Charter/Plan
• Manage delivery of High-Level Concept Design (along with Domain Architect)
• Support DC Feasibility Assessments / Site Surveys
• Support updating of Enterprise Cyber Recovery Strategy
• Strong collaboration with CoE Architecture, Platform & Product Engineering Teams, Information Security, Risk Management and Management IT

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree

• Minimum 7-10 years’ in Technical Project Management, with direct involvement in large-scale Enterprise IT Infrastructure deployments
• Experience in regulated Banking & Financial Services environments

Knowledge/Expertise

• Understanding of Data Centre Transformation & Construction Projects
• Solid technical background in relevant domains - IT Application & Infrastructure, DC Architecture and Cloud environments
• Regulatory and industry frameworks including: ISO 22237, ISO 27001, ISO 22301, NIST/NIS2 and DORA.

Certifications

• PMP, PRINCE2 and/or Agile SCRUM Certifications (mandatory)
• CDCDP (highly desirable)
• ITIL Practitioner, Strong Stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to engage & present effectively with C-Levels, Leadership & Technical Teams
• Self-motivated, proactive and results-oriented.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to operate effectively in a global matrix organisation
• Proficient with modern Project Management tools & methods - JIRA/MS Project/Hybrid Agile-Waterfall
