Forward Deployed Engineer

Experteer Overview As a Forward Deployed Engineer at Artefact Benelux, you’ll help clients translate business needs into scalable data and AI solutions. You’ll choose between Data Platform and AI & LLM Applications tracks, building production-grade pipelines or deploying LLM-based systems. You work closely with clients and cross-functional teams to deliver robust, observable, high-quality software. This role combines hands-on engineering with stakeholder communication to drive data-driven impact at scale. Pay / Benefits * Build production-grade data pipelines (dbt, Spark, Airflow) with focus on performance and data quality * Architect end-to-end data platforms to support analytical and operational use cases * Design and deploy LLM-based solutions (RAG systems, Knowledge Graphs, agentic workflows) using LangChain or LlamaIndex * Evaluate and integrate new AI tools and models for reliability and scale * Collaborate with clients to translate business needs into production-ready technical solutions * Write clean, maintainable Python and SQL and communicate decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders Tasks * Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field * 1-3 years of relevant experience in Data Engineer, AI Engineer, or similar role * Strong Python and SQL skills with production-quality code * Familiarity with ETL/ELT principles or LLM orchestration frameworks * Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS, or Databricks) * Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills * Fluency in English; Dutch or French as a plus Key requirements * competitive salary * phone & travel reimbursements * remote work allowance * daily lunch provided * hybrid work environment * learning and development opportunities
