Experteer Overview You will lead the strategy, engineering, and reliability of our enterprise infrastructure across cloud and on-prem environments to enable secure, resilient banking services. You will drive a platform-centric, product-led operating model with DevOps, SRE, and NOC practices, ensuring compliance and operational resilience. You will build an internal developer platform to empower engineering and product teams with self-service and automation. Your work will shape governance, automation, and cloud strategy in a regulated, customer-focused bank. This is a mission to scale secure platforms that underpin critical services for customers. Pay / Benefits * Define and execute Infrastructure and Cloud strategy aligned to enterprise objectives, risk appetite, and regulatory requirements * Assess and evolve the cloud and on-prem estate, planning a transition to platform-centric, cloud-native operating models * Establish a platform engineering capability and deliver an internal developer platform (IDP) for self-service and standardisation * Own cloud/infrastructure architecture, vendor strategy, and debt reduction to avoid lock-in * Embed DevOps with a You Build It, You Run It model across engineering teams * Implement SRE practices with SLOs, error budgets, and proactive reliability measures * Ensure 24/7 NOC/Infrastructure Operations, incident response, and continual service improvement * Mature governance and compliance frameworks (ISO27001, NIST CSF, CIS) and audit readiness * Act as control owner, manage evidence and remediation of audit findings * Drive IaC/policy-as-code and guardrails, plus integrated observability and AI-driven insights * Oversee subsidiaries and manage technology partners/cloud providers for cost, performance, and risk alignment * Develop organizational capability across platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, and cloud operations Tasks * Extensive leadership of enterprise Infrastructure, Cloud and Platform Engineering in a regulated environment * Experience building and leading multidisciplinary teams in Infrastructure, Cloud Operations, Platform Engineering, SRE and NOC * Practical SRE experience with SLOs/SLIs, error budgets, observability * Proven ability to define/deliver infrastructure and cloud transformation strategies * Senior leadership experience influencing technology strategy and investments * Experience managing large technology budgets, vendor relationships, and outsourced providers * Deep Microsoft Azure, hybrid cloud, and enterprise infrastructure expertise * Design/operation of highly available, secure infrastructure platforms * Experience with IaC, policy-as-code, automation, and cloud governance * Strong networking, IAM, compute, storage, virtualization, backup, DR, and operational resilience knowledge * Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and modern software delivery * Experience in 24x7 operations, major incident management, and service improvements * Knowledge of information security, cyber risk, and cloud security best practices * Experience in financial services regulatory frameworks (FCA/PRA) and operational resilience * Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS Benchmarks, ITIL Key requirements * Competitive holiday allowance * Pension via market leading provider * Private Healthcare cover * Life Assurance * Discretionary Bonus * Cycle to Work Scheme
