Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you will contribute to building cloud-hosted, distributed applications that power our next-generation product for sharing scientific knowledge. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate researcher needs into robust software, balancing stability and performance. The position places you at the heart of innovation, shaping how researchers publish and access quality science. You will grow your skills while delivering impact at scale within a collaborative, Agile environment. Pay / Benefits * Design, develop, and deploy cloud-hosted distributed applications for the next-generation product * Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback in a fast-moving context * Contribute to architectural decisions to ensure stability and performance * Identify and implement delivery process improvements * Partner with cross-functional Agile and DevOps teams to enable deployment and reliability Tasks * Proficiency in Java * Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript (React, Angular, etc) * SQL experience * Version control with Git * Experience with modern IDEs (IntelliJ or VSCode) and refactoring tools * Familiarity with test-driven development and mocking libraries (Jest, Mockito) * Experience with Jira and Confluence * Knowledge of Agile practices (Scrum, Kanban) * Willingness to learn additional technologies * Interest or experience with AI-based solutions Key requirements * Comprehensive Pension Plan * Home, office, or commuting allowance * Generous vacation entitlement and sabbatical leave * Maternity, Paternity, Adoption, and Family Care leave * Flexible working hours * Personal Choice budget
