About the Role As the Senior Full Stack Engineer with strong frontend skills, you will design and develop software solutions, assist fellow engineers through peer coding and reviews, and lead discussions on development approaches and best practices. develop high-quality, rich front-end applications for cloud-native, scalable environments. - Build and maintain secure, reliable, and high-performing software that meets scalability and client requirements. - Participate in architecture and design workshops, code reviews, and SDLC activities, collaborating closely with architects, engineering managers, and product owners. - Evaluate and prototype new technologies by building Proofs of Concept (PoCs). - Promote and apply software engineering best practices through collaboration, code reviews, and continuous improvement. - Working in Agile environments, delivering high-quality software, mentoring engineers, conducting code reviews, and driving engineering best practices. Must have excellent technical proficiency in - Expertise in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and React, including hooks, functional components, and modern React patterns. - Strong UI development experience with responsive design, MUI, CSS-Modules, Tailwind CSS, Post CSS, and Sass/Less. - Strong knowledge of Redux Toolkit, Context API, Tan Stack Query, React Router/Tan Stack Router, route-driven UX, lazy loading, code splitting, and frontend performance optimization. - Strong knowledge of web accessibility (WCAG), semantic HTML, ARIA, keyboard navigation, color contrast, and automated accessibility testing. - Strong testing experience with Jest, React Testing Library, user-event, and exposure to Cypress or Playwright. - Experience in designing, developing, and integrating APIs, with the ability to understand backend implementations and perform end-to-end troubleshooting. - Strong knowledge of relational databases (MSSQL, PostgreSQL), schema versioning (Flyway), and ORM frameworks (Hibernate, JPA). - Experience designing, implementing, testing, and delivering reliable, high-performance, scalable cloud-native applications using modern cloud services and architectural patterns. - Hands-on experience with enterprise authentication and identity solutions. - Experience with application packaging and containerization, including build tooling, Azure DevOps pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes. - Strong understanding of secure software design, secure coding practices, static code analysis, vulnerability scanning, and remediation. - Basic knowledge of Terraform, including reading existing configurations and implementing minor changes. - Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), cloud infrastructure, networking, security, resource provisioning, and cloud operating models. Nice to have - Experience designing and implementing enterprise backend applications using Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot. - Knowledge of cross-service communication patterns

For Spain the annual base salary range for this position is between EUR 60,000 and EUR 100,000 (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers: - the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role, - the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience. In addition to your base salary, Swiss Re offers an attractive performance-based variable compensation component, designed to recognise your achievements.
