Job description

SAP ECC FICO Consultant / About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP ECC FICO Consultant to oversee production support, enhancements, and continuous improvement for our Finance & Controlling (FICO) landscape.
This role partners closely with Finance stakeholders, manages support analysts, and ensures stability and optimization of SAP ECC FICO processes.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, and driving system excellence., * Lead day-to-day support for SAP ECC FI and CO/FMS modules (GL, AP, AR, AA, Banking/Treasury CCA, PCA, and Costing).
Manage and prioritize incidents, service requests, and enhancements to meet SLAs.
Perform root cause analysis, implement fixes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Own configuration changes, testing, documentation, and deployment activities.
Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Sales teams to support business processes.
Coordinate with ABAP, Basis, and Security teams on RICEFW development and system issues.
Guide offshore/onshore support resources and ensure consistent service delivery.
Support upgrade activities, regression testing, cutover planning, and project rollouts.
Maintain high-quality documentation (functional specs, process flows, SOPs, test scripts).
Ensure compliance with financial controls, audit requirements, and SOX standards.

Requirements

3+ years of hands-on SAP ECC FICO experience.
Strong configuration expertise in FI (GL/AP/AR/AA/Banking/Treasury) and CO (CCA/PCA/NEWGL).
Solid understanding of integration with MM, SD modules.
Experience leading or mentoring support teams or vendors.
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced support environment.

Preferred Qualifications

SAP FI/CO certification from SAP (preferred S/4 HANA FI or Management accounting certification)
Experience with ECC to S/4HANA readiness or migration projects.
Exposure to BI/BW reporting or financial reporting tools.
Experience working in, public sector, or similar industries
