Job description
We are seeking an experienced VMware vSAN Expert Consultant to design, implement, optimize, and support VMware vSAN and hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in VMware virtualization technologies, storage architecture, cluster management, and performance tuning within enterprise data center environments., * Design, deploy, configure, and maintain VMware vSAN clusters.
- Perform vSAN upgrades, migrations, health checks, and troubleshooting activities.
- Optimize storage performance, capacity planning, and resource utilization.
- Administer VMware vSphere, ESXi hosts, vCenter, and related infrastructure components.
- Implement and manage vSAN Storage Policies and Data Protection solutions.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, and storage-related issues.
- Collaborate with application, network, and security teams during implementation and support activities.
- Create technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Provide recommendations for infrastructure modernization and best practices.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with VMware vSAN, vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter.
- Experience with Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) environments.
- Knowledge of storage technologies, RAID, SAN/NAS, and data protection concepts.
- Experience with VMware lifecycle management, patching, and upgrades.
- Understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, VLANs, and distributed switches.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning capabilities.
- Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
<>Preferred Qualifications
- VMware certifications such as VCP-DCV, VCAP, or VCDX.
- Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) and NSX.
- Exposure to automation tools such as PowerCLI, PowerShell, or Ansible.
- Experience working in large enterprise environments.
<>Education
- Bachelor’’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
