Platform Engineer

Experteer Overview In this Platform Engineer role you drive the build, configuration, and maintenance of our AI platform on Microsoft Azure. You work within the Data & AI platform team to enable teams to deploy, govern, and monitor AI workloads at scale. You’ll own platform components, apply IaC and GitOps practices, and pursue continuous improvement for reliability and security. This is a hands-on role in a fast-growing pharma tech environment with a strong focus on cloud-native technologies and collaboration. Pay / Benefits * Build, configure and maintain Azure-based platform infrastructure using Terraform * Support Azure Databricks platform operations, including configuration, automation, monitoring, and access management * Operate and improve the Azure Kubernetes platform for Data & AI, with deployment, management and scaling of services via GitOps/CI-CD * Implement platform changes following architecture patterns, security requirements, and engineering standards * Develop reusable automation and self-service capabilities for easy workload deployment and operation * Monitor platform health, troubleshoot issues, and resolve common operational problems * Collaborate with Platform, Data, AI, MLOps, and Security teams and contribute to documentation and improvements * Participate in architecture and design discussions and implement approved solutions with guidance * Continuously expand knowledge of cloud-native and Data & AI platform technologies to improve the platform Tasks * Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and core cloud concepts (compute, networking, storage, identity, security) * Practical experience with containers and Kubernetes * Experience with Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform; familiarity with Helm * Experience creating or maintaining deployment pipelines and Git-based workflows * Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and troubleshooting production or platform environments * Experience with at least one programming/scripting language (Python, Go, or Shell) for automation * Familiarity with Azure Databricks or motivation to develop hands-on expertise * Basic understanding of Data, ML, or AI workloads and how infrastructure supports them * Ability to take ownership, organize tasks, communicate progress, and seek input when needed * Comfort collaborating with engineers and stakeholders and explaining technical topics * Curiosity and motivation to continuously improve skills and contribute to documentation and practices * Fluency in English; German is a plus Key requirements * Welcome days onboarding program * Urban Sports Club membership * Mental health support via nilo * Work from home up to 20 days/year within EU * Personal development through training opportunities
