Experteer Overview As a Senior Avionics Hardware Test Engineer at Amazon Leo, you will bridge design and manufacturing to ensure robust avionics hardware testing at scale. You’ll lead MRB processes, optimize test flows, and build data-driven improvements that boost yield and reduce cycle time. This role offers impact across production sites and contract manufacturers, shaping reliable space-grade hardware for broadband access. You will drive cross-functional collaboration and transfer expertise through training and documentation. Compensation / Benefits * Serve as liaison between production, test, and design to triage and resolve hardware test and manufacturing issues in real time * Optimize manufacturing test flows for avionics systems to improve measurement quality, throughput, and robustness * Review and approve manufacturing processes and work instructions for assembly and test of avionics hardware * Lead disposition and corrective action for non-conformances during production test * Lead MRB activities for PCBA and subsystem hardware and drive RCCA with development engineers * Create and deliver training, troubleshooting guides, and improved work instructions to reduce recurring support burdens * Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair test setups for avionics systems in production * Partner with test engineering to improve test architecture, reduce cycle time, and ensure high-quality data capture * Collaborate with manufacturing engineering to reduce workmanship errors and strengthen process capability * Develop and maintain manufacturing KPI reporting tools (yield trends, test escape analysis, cycle times, nonconformance velocity, equipment performance) * Travel to contract manufacturers (<5%) to deploy new test infrastructure and train technicians/operators Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent * 5+ years in design, test, or manufacturing engineering for electronic hardware * Experience developing or supporting manufacturing test flows and automation in space, automotive, industrial, or consumer electronics sectors * Experience performing root cause analysis on electronic assemblies (component and system level) Key requirements * health insurance (medical, dental, vision) * 401(k) matching * paid time off * RSUs and sign-on payments * parenteral leave options * comprehensive benefits
