Job description

Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Power BI dashboards, reports, and scorecards.

Build and optimize semantic data models using Power BI datasets and Tabular Models.

Develop advanced DAX measures, calculated columns, KPIs, and Power Query (M) transformations.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and deliver scalable BI solutions.

Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and views for reporting and analytics.

Integrate data from multiple enterprise sources using Azure Data Factory, SQL Server, Azure Synapse, or Microsoft Fabric.

Implement Row-Level Security (RLS), workspace security, and governance within Power BI Service.

Optimize report performance, data refresh schedules, and dataset management.

Perform data validation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for reporting issues.

Follow BI development best practices, documentation standards, and release management processes.

Requirements

Client is seeking an experienced Senior Power BI Engineer to design, develop, and support enterprise-level Business Intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Power BI, data modeling, SQL, and Azure technologies, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into interactive dashboards and actionable insights., 10+ years of overall IT experience.

5+ years of hands-on Power BI development experience.

Strong expertise in:

Power BI Desktop

Power BI Service

DAX

Power Query (M)

Data Modeling (Star Schema/Dimensional Modeling)

SQL Server / T-SQL

Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, or Databricks.

Strong understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and enterprise data warehousing.

Experience implementing Row-Level Security (RLS) and workspace administration.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Healthcare or Health Insurance domain.

Experience with Snowflake or Azure SQL.

Knowledge of Azure DevOps, Git, or CI/CD for Power BI deployments.

Experience with Microsoft Fabric is highly preferred.

Microsoft Power BI Certification is a plus., Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
