Experteer Overview As Engineering Manager for the People Applications team, you will lead a full-stack group building 1P products that cover the employee lifecycle. You’ll shape the technical direction and product strategy, collaborating with cross-functional partners to deliver reliable, high-impact experiences across all brands. You’ll drive AI-enabled improvements to developer velocity and business outcomes while scaling solutions for global teams. This role combines people leadership with hands-on engineering to advance our People platform at DoorDash. Compensation / Benefits * Lead and develop a high-performing full-stack engineering team across multiple locations (US and Hungary) * Define and oversee the architectural roadmap for the team * Deliver core People Applications features, including data pipelines, automation, and AI/LLM integrations * Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX and business stakeholders to translate requirements into user-centric solutions * Establish development, testing, release, and monitoring best practices for operational excellence * Champion AI and automation to boost developer velocity and business outcomes Tasks * 2+ years of people management leading teams of 5+ engineers * 7+ years of industry software development experience, preferably in HR-related apps * Experience in fast-paced, product-focused development environments * Background in distributed system design, scaling, and performance optimization, with AI for velocity improvements * Hands-on experience with NodeJs/TypeScript, React, Python * Experience with Docker and Kubernetes * Willingness to learn, adapt, and handle ambiguity * Excellent communication and collaboration across time zones Key requirements * comprehensive benefits package * 401(k) with employer matching * 16 weeks paid parental leave * wellness benefits * commuter benefits match * paid time off and paid sick leave per law (e.g., Colorado)
