Design Engineer 1

Experteer Overview In this role you support the design and development of outdoor power equipment systems and components, guiding concepts through production under senior leadership. You will create and manage CAD models and drawings, aid in testing and validation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver manufacturable products. You contribute to design trade-offs, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement to meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards. Compensation / Benefits * Support design and development for components, sub-assemblies, or systems from concept to production release * Maintain 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, GD&T, tolerances, and specifications for performance, compliance, durability, safety, and manufacturability * Perform design trade-off analyses and document design rationale * Apply structured problem-solving to design issues, field failures, and manufacturing concerns * Design for manufacturability, cost, and quality; collaborate with manufacturing, sourcing, and suppliers * Support DFMEA inputs, design verification plans, tolerance validation, stress, durability, and environmental testing * Contribute to engineering change documentation and product release * Collaborate with Product Management and Manufacturing Engineering; support pilot builds, PPAP, and ramp-up * Communicate with global cross-functional teams Tasks * 0-3 years of design experience in consumer, industrial, or electromechanical products * Experience with 3D CAD (Creo / SolidWorks / NX or equivalent) * Basic understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T * Effective written and verbal communication skills * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Comfortable in a fast-paced, results-driven environment Key requirements *
