Senior Staff Technical Program Manager

Experteer Overview As Sr. Staff TPM for Search Signals at Pinterest, you will lead company-wide programs shaping signals, search, and personalization. You’ll steer the roadmaps and coordinate cross-organizational efforts to meet OKRs, balancing business goals with technical feasibility. You’ll drive AI-first execution, integrating GenAI-driven workflows and evolving risk-aware governance. This role offers high-impact work at scale, influencing product strategy and collaboration with AI research teams to advance Pinterest’s shopping and inspiration platform. Compensation / Benefits * Define and evolve the company-wide roadmap for signals aligned with business objectives * Lead cross-org programs spanning multiple teams with scalable execution * Deliver on-time, high-quality results across interconnected projects * Set program metrics and drive solutions to complex technical and management challenges * Influence at VP/staff level and mentor PMs and technical leads * Collaborate with AI Research and partner teams to accelerate adoption of models (LLMs, VLMs) in core experiences * Communicate progress to leadership and stakeholders with clear, decisive tradeoffs Tasks * BS in a technical discipline or equivalent experience (10+ years) * Proven ability to lead transformational, company-level programs with cross-functional impact * Deep technical breadth in search, recommendation systems, ML/AI, and large-scale data integration * AI-forward execution mindset with GenAI-enabled planning and stakeholder communications * Experience turning repeatable work into durable, low-toil processes and AI-assisted workflows * Safety-by-design AI fluency including governance, risk, data handling, and compliance considerations * Proven ability to influence at VP/staff level and drive consensus across teams * Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational awareness * Experience with legal, privacy, and regulatory compliance in data-driven environments * Experience working with external data partners and negotiating data acquisition is desirable * Internationalization experience is a plus * Experience with data acquisition, integration, and management for offsite signals is a plus Key requirements * base salary range disclosed * equity eligible * PinFlex flexible working model * remote-friendly in-office collaboration 1-2 times per quarter * inclusive workplace culture * commitment to inclusion and equal opportunity
