Data Program Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role you will lead data program initiatives at Northern Trust, shaping data-driven solutions on modern platforms. You will partner with global teams to align IT initiatives with business goals and drive technology transformation. You will tackle architecture design, data modeling, and integration challenges that enable scalable asset management and wealth services. Compensation / Benefits * Manage stakeholder relationships and ensure client satisfaction through strong project management * Advocate data strategy and support cross-team alignment on business and tech goals * Provide architecture direction and lead engineers in applying architectural patterns * Lead technology proof of concepts to validate solution feasibility * Drive continuous technology transformation and reduce technical debt * Contribute to target state technology architecture and roadmaps; ensure IT alignment * Participate in a fast-paced Agile team across planning, execution, testing and launch * Collaborate with global teams to deliver business outcomes Tasks * Proven ability to lead multi-project data programs * Expertise in designing data-driven solutions on Snowflake for complex needs * Investment Management or Asset Management experience recommended * Database design, ETL, data warehouse applications using best practices * Strong understanding of relational, dimensional databases and taxonomy design * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent experience * Independent, detail-oriented with intellectual curiosity * Experience driving change, transformation, and process improvement * Stakeholder management and executive liaison to achieve outcomes * Understanding of data security, cyber-security, and PII management * Deep knowledge of relational and NoSQL data stores * Advanced data analytics using ML, AI and GenAI Key requirements * retirement benefits (401k and pension) * medical, dental, vision, and other welfare benefits * paid time off * parential and caregiver leave * life & accident insurance * discretionary bonus program (may include equity)
