Senior Software Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role you will shape the Post-Booking consumer experience by delivering high-performance Node.js services and AI-powered enhancements. You’ll work closely with engineering leadership to modernize our microservice ecosystem and define multi-quarter roadmaps. You’ll lead cross-team initiatives, champion quality testing and AI practices, and mentor engineers. This position offers a meaningful impact as you help scale trusted, money-handling systems in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Compensation / Benefits * Define multi-quarter technical roadmap for Post-Booking domains (backend, frontend) in collaboration with engineering leadership * Lead complex, cross-team technical initiatives as Tech Lead * Translate business goals into clear technical strategies, designs, and experiments * Act as a Javascript SME, promote high-quality testing and AI practices, mentor engineers, and produce durable specs and documentation * Drive AI-driven development by adopting Spec-Driven Development (SDD) and ensuring robust Node.js implementations and test suites Tasks * 4 years of professional software engineering with frontend and backend experience and proven impact * Extensive experience with Node.js and microservice architecture; Ruby on Rails is a plus * Strong SQL and data modeling for financial use cases (Postgres, Snowflake) * Hands-on experience with async/event-driven systems (Kafka) and microservice architecture * Proven track record in designing and owning observability/alerting for critical systems * Mastery in building, debugging, and scaling distributed systems * Excellent communication and ability to influence without authority; strong ownership for money-and-trust systems Key requirements * employer-paid health insurance * 401k match with immediate vesting * generous and flexible time off * 2 company-wide closure weeks * product stipends * IKEA discounts’,’reproductive health support
