Staff Software Engineer, Front End (Datagrid)

Experteer Overview As a Staff Front End Engineer on Procore’s Pages Team, you will help design and build the Datagrid Pages and Dataset Editor to connect data with AI agents at scale. You’ll own frontend architecture and canvas-based UIs, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver a reliable, high-impact platform. This role blends hands-on development with system design and mentoring to accelerate our AI-driven construction platform. You’ll join a fast-moving, customer-centric team shaping a global, data-enabled product. Compensation / Benefits * Architect, develop, and maintain the runtime and platform for Datagrid Pages and Dataset Editor using React, Node.js, TypeScript, Ruby * Design scalable, canvas-based and data-bound UIs (Canvas Charts and table views) * Improve the Graph computation system and evaluation pipeline for browser and server execution * Write clean, well-tested, well-documented code following industry standards and best practices * Communicate complex problems and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders through documents and discussions * Collaborate across engineering teams on large-scale initiatives to connect construction data on a single platform * Develop team technical standards and operational processes * Support production Pages, Dataset Editor, and related services to ensure high availability and reliability * Mentor junior developers in both soft and technical skills * Leverage generative tools and agentic workflows to move faster and work smarter Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience * 8+ years in software engineering, test-driven development, and UI/API design (Node.js, React, TypeScript preferred) * Ability to recommend technical investments to improve stability, performance, and scalability of production services * Experience supporting leadership in balancing short- and long-term goals * Experience building modern CI/CD systems enabling deterministic releases * Ability to create scalable operational support strategies for junior developers Key requirements * Hybrid onsite work (San Francisco) * Equity compensation and/or bonus incentive eligibility * Competitive base pay * Full-time employment * Collaboration with a customer-centric, global platform * Professional development and mentorship
