Job description

Porsche Engineering Romania is currently looking for a Software Engineer interested about AI to join the team.

In this role, you will be responsible for researching and implementing solutions for complex problems involving programming, Machine Learning and Large Language Models approaches.

You will work on projects that span technologies, systems, and processes where you will design, test and ship high quality code. In this role, you will collaborate with team members and clients to build complex products that enable Porsche to deliver high quality and innovative customer experiences.

As a team member, you will have to combine software engineering skills with research and innovation skills. We offer the possibility to be responsible for your own topics and drive them to completion together with local and remote colleagues.

  • You will write high quality code to build products and platforms revolving around AI technologies (Machine Learning models, including Large Language Models)
  • You will design and deliver technical solutions to business and product problems
  • You will take ownership of initiatives and drive them through to completion
  • You will work in an Agile environment
  • You will collaborate with international project teams, We cover a wide range of development activities and technical know-how - from conventional powertrains to future mobility, and from prototype to series development. By optimizing brake systems and developing pedestrian protections as well as driver assistance systems, these activities significantly contribute to the improvement of future car safety. As an integral part of the Porsche Engineering, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Stuttgart (Germany) based sports car manufacturer Porsche AG, the work of our engineers in Cluj and Timisoara results into improvements and innovations incorporated in the Porsche sports cars, sold all over the world.

Requirements

  • You have successfully completed a Bachelor or Master degree in Information Technology or an equivalent education
  • You have strong experience in Python programming, good knowledge of Object Oriented Programming, SQL or NoSQL databases
  • You have basic Knowledge of Python data science specific libraries, Neural Networks and ML frameworks
  • You are familiar with modern development tools, MLOps and cloud
  • You have an advantage for knowledge of data processing and data storing technologies
  • You have a good understanding of LLMs
  • You have experience in working in distributed, international teams
  • You speak English fluently; German language is considered a plus
