Senior Data Analyst - Regulatory Data & Supervisory Analytics

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to support the organisation’s objective of improving supervisory effectiveness through better use of entity and regulatory data.

The role will contribute to a live testing programme for a regulatory data reporting regime, helping Supervision teams identify risks, prioritise interventions and monitor firms through data-driven insights, dashboards and analytical solutions.

The successful candidate will work across complex, multi-source datasets and collaborate closely with business, technical and supervisory stakeholders to assess data quality, develop analytical solutions and improve the usability of regulatory data., * Analyse risk indicators, alerts and supervisory data to support risk-based supervision and decision-making.

• Analyse regulatory datasets covering authorisations, holdings, transactions, legal entities and regulatory reporting.
• Integrate data from multiple sources to provide coherent views across firms and legal entities.
• Identify trends, anomalies, concentrations and emerging risks to support supervisory intelligence and thematic reviews.
• Perform data quality assessments and implement validation and improvement controls.
• Validate and enrich legal entity data, including Legal Entity Identifiers (LEIs), using external sources such as GLEIF, Companies House and relevant market data.
• Develop and maintain Tableau or Power BI dashboards, management information and self-service analytics for business and Supervision teams.
• Support the transition towards reusable and automated reporting and analytical capabilities.
• Gather and analyse business requirements through stakeholder engagement and workshops.
• Translate complex supervisory and business challenges into practical analytical solutions.
• Work across competing business requirements and help establish workable, prioritised delivery plans through engagement and governance forums.
• Support the development of automated reporting, advanced analytics, continuous monitoring and early-warning indicators.

• Strong hands-on experience with SQL and large-scale data analysis across complex, multi-source datasets.
• Experience working with AWS data services, such as S3, DynamoDB, Athena or similar services.
• Strong data visualisation and dashboard development experience using Tableau or Power BI.
• Proven experience in data quality assessment, validation and data improvement.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with both business and technical audiences.
• Experience working within financial services, banking, regulatory or other highly governed environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and identify meaningful trends, anomalies and risks.

Desirable

• Experience working with regulatory data or financial reporting regimes.
• Understanding of legal entity data, LEIs or regulatory reporting data.
• Experience supporting supervisory, risk, compliance or regulatory analytics.
