Senior Java Engineer - Fully Remote, UK

I’m looking for experienced Java Engineers to join a major technology transformation and help build a brand-new greenfield iGaming platform for a global organisation generating over $1 billion in annual turnover.

This is a genuine opportunity to join a rapidly growing engineering function, with plans to build a team of 50+ engineers across the programme.

You’ll be joining at an exciting stage of the journey, with the opportunity to influence architecture, engineering practices and technology choices from the ground up rather than simply maintaining an existing platform.

iGaming experience is essential for this role.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing and developing high-performance Java applications and services.
• Contributing to the architecture and technical direction of a new greenfield iGaming platform.
• Building scalable, resilient and secure backend services capable of supporting high transaction volumes.
• Working closely with other engineers, architects, product teams and technical stakeholders.
• Helping establish engineering standards, best practices and development processes as the team scales.
• Contributing to a modern cloud-based technology environment.
• Taking ownership of solutions from design through to deployment and ongoing improvement.

We’re looking for strong Java Engineers who are comfortable working in fast-paced, product-led engineering environments., * Strong commercial experience with Java.

• Proven experience within the iGaming industry.
• Experience building scalable, high-volume backend systems.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
• Experience working in Agile engineering teams.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

You’ll ideally have experience with some of the following:

• Spring / Spring Boot
• Microservices
• REST APIs
• AWS or another major cloud platform
• Docker / Kubernetes
• Kafka or other event-driven technologies
• CI/CD
• Automated testing
