Job description
As a Solutions Architect, you will design scalable, secure and commercially viable solutions that address complex customer requirements. Working closely with customers, delivery teams, Sales and Business Development, responsibilities will include:
- Understanding customer objectives and translating functional and non-functional requirements into effective solution architectures.
- Designing end-to-end enterprise solutions across modern, cloud and legacy technology environments.
- Developing technical strategies, architectural roadmaps and solution designs.
- Providing technical leadership to Project Managers, Architects, Engineers and Developers throughout delivery.
- Leading solution and architecture reviews to ensure designs meet customer, security and regulatory requirements.
- Supporting pre-sales activity, including shaping opportunities, developing technical proposals and presenting solutions.
- Producing solution estimates, cost models, risk assessments and business cases.
- Evaluating emerging technologies and identifying opportunities to improve customer solutions and services.
Requirements
You will need to have demonstrable experience working in the Defence and National Security Sectors., You will be an experienced Solutions Architect with a strong track record of designing and delivering enterprise-scale technology solutions. You will ideally have:
- Strong experience gathering requirements and developing end-to-end solution architectures.
- Experience with public cloud platforms, ideally AWS and/or Azure.
- Broad technical knowledge across modern and legacy environments.
- Excellent customer-facing, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience within Defence and/or Central Government environments.
- Previous pre-sales experience, including solution shaping, technical proposals and estimating.
- Knowledge of TOGAF, ArchiMate or Zachman would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of GDS standards or government delivery frameworks would be beneficial.
Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain UK SC security clearance.
