Job description

Autodesk’s Interactive Graphics Solutions group is looking for a highly motivated Frontend Engineer to help build world-class web applications that empower construction companies to work more efficiently and reduce waste across project lifecycles.

As part of Autodesk Construction Cloud, you will contribute to solutions transforming how buildings, bridges, hospitals, campuses, and stadiums are delivered. Our platform enables seamless collaboration, coordination, and data-driven decision-making across all phases of construction.

This is an opportunity to work on complex, high-impact products using modern technologies within a collaborative, fast-paced engineering environment.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from design to deployment and continuous improvement
  • Design and develop scalable, secure, high-performance frontend applications using modern web technologies
  • Translate high-level product requirements into iterative, customer-facing enhancements
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, Architects, and Engineers across distributed teams
  • Ensure high engineering standards through peer reviews, testing, documentation, and clean architecture principles
  • Advocate for best practices in performance, accessibility, observability, and security
  • Leverage AI tools and modern engineering productivity techniques in daily workflows
  • Contribute to technical discussions, architectural decisions, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Build and enhance cloud-based applications used by construction professionals worldwide
  • Collaborate with global engineering, product, and design teams
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and iterative delivery cycles
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy
  • Work in a flexible, hybrid environment using modern engineering tools and practices

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of hands-on frontend development experience
  • Strong expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and React
  • Deep understanding of JavaScript fundamentals and browser internals
  • Experience with modern testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress)
  • Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows
  • Experience working in Agile environments with short release cycles
  • Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable, well-documented code
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience), * Experience with state management solutions such as MobX
  • Familiarity with bundling tools (e.g., Webpack) and modern build systems
  • Experience with web-based 3D visualization technologies
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native deployment models
  • Exposure to backend technologies (e.g., Node.js, C#) in distributed or service-oriented architectures
  • Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms
  • Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies or serving in a Scrum leadership capacity

The Ideal Candidate

  • A proactive, curious engineer who stays current with emerging tools and technologies
  • Comfortable working in distributed, cross-functional teams
  • Results-driven, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities
  • Strong advocate for engineering excellence and continuous improvement
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
