Manager, Accounting Systems & Reporting

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field\n
• 5+ years related experience preferred\n
• CPA or CMA certification is a plus\n
• Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems\n
• Experience with MRI a plus\n
• Experience with SQL and database management\n
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills\n
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, and other financial reporting tools\n
• Expertise in financial reporting and analysis\n
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills\n

We are seeking a Manager, Accounting Systems & Reporting to join our team. We are looking for a technically proficient, data-driven accounting professional who can leverage a strong foundation in accounting principles and financial systems to design, develop, and maintain reporting solutions and data query processes. This individual will play a key role in enhancing financial reporting capabilities, improving data accessibility, and supporting informed business decision-making through accurate and efficient reporting.\n \n \nResponsibilities:\n \n \n

• Design, create and test accounting reports to be used by property accounting, corporate accounting, joint venture accounting and for company wide distribution.\n
• Create and validate ad hoc queries for management.\n
• Partner with business stakeholders and other project work streams to incorporate their accounting and process changes into an overall technical solution\n
• Maintain governance over the chart of accounts, income categories, account groups and financial formats.\n
• Create and maintain financial reports to be used in our quarterly board book and supplemental.\n
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, improve internal and external reporting, decrease process times, streamline workflows, and strengthen internal controls\n
• Partner with our Office of Innovation and Technology (“OIT”) to identify business challenges, prioritize system-driven solutions and enhancements that improve business processes and/or provide increased controllership\n
• Investigate areas for improvement through use of artificial intelligence\n
• Partner with the OIT team to document business requirements, manage and support system testing of new upgrades, structure rebuilds, hot patches and releases, and participate in user acceptance testing\n
• Proactively identify and implement further automation opportunities in partnership with the OIT team\n
• Independent worker with a sense of urgency, but with strong team skills\n, The expected salary range for this position is between $100,000 and $120,000.
