Job description

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to assist in maintaining food safety, product quality, and regulatory compliance across our peanut roasting and packaging operations. In this role, you will verify critical control points, maintain accurate records, and partner with production teams to ensure products consistently meet HACCP, SQF, GMP, Company, and customer requirements., * Monitor roasting, processing, and packaging operations to ensure food safety, quality, and compliance standards are met.

  • Verify and document critical controls, including temperatures, metal detection, allergen controls, sanitation, and package integrity.
  • Conduct product, sanitation, and pre-operational checks and confirm equipment readiness before start-up.
  • Complete QA, HACCP, SQF, GMP, sanitation, and production records accurately and on time.
  • Support traceability, product holds, corrective actions, label verification, lot coding, audits, and finished product compliance.
  • Inspect incoming materials and warehouse conditions for GMP and allergen compliance.
  • Communicate food safety or quality concerns quickly and contribute to training and continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Productivity software?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * High school diploma or GED required; experience in QA or food manufacturing is preferred.

  • Working knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, SQF standards, allergen controls, and food safety regulations is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, clear documentation habits, basic Microsoft Office skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 40 pounds, and work in hot conditions near roasting equipment.
  • Able to wear required PPE, including hairnets, beard nets, and gloves.

Optional Qualifications

  • Training or certification in HACCP, SQF Practitioner, PCQI, or Internal Auditing.

Work Schedule

  • Full-time, Monday through Friday
  • Occasional Saturdays required during busy season
  • Flexible hours with start times as early as 6:30 AM and end times as late as 5:00 PM
