Job description

We have an exciting opportunity at the Department of State! The DR Test Coordinator provides disaster recovery (DR) planning, testing and support for customer personnel, facilities, servers, storage platforms, systems, networking equipment, and hosted systems at DoS facilities both domestically and overseas., * The DR Test Coordinator ensures the customer can perform continuity of operations (COOP) when needed due to contingencies and disasters without adverse impact to their mission.

  • This role is responsible for validating the efficacy of recovery capabilities through rigorous, periodic testing and the implementation of corrective actions.
  • You will be responsible for validating recovery capabilities through periodic tests conducted according to Government-approved schedules.
  • This includes targeted recovery tests (conducted quarterly or as directed), semi-annual recovery tests, annual full DR exercises, partial tests, and tabletop exercises.
  • You will also coordinate DR tests and document results, ensuring pre-planning and post-exercise reviews.
  • You will ensure the testing scope includes applications and full functionality of systems from alternate locations or provide full documentation and prevention recommendations.
  • You will also ensure DR testing for High Value Assets (HVAs) meets all applicable security requirements and includes validation of security controls in the DR environment.

Requirements

The following are the education and experience required for this position:

  • 5+ years
  • Bachelor’s in IT or related field
  • Secret Security Clearance

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Comp TIA Sec+, ITIL 4 Foundation Certification(s)
