Job description

Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) is a two -year community/technical college that offers more than 75 associate degree, diploma, and certificate programs for students who are either seeking quick entry into the workforce or desiring to transfer to a senior institution to pursue a bachelor’s degree. HGTC offers three convenient campus locations in South Carolina, including Myrtle Beach, Conway and Georgetown. The Technology Solutions department at Horry-Georgetown Technical College is seeking candidates for a Network Administrator. The selected candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, designing, analyzing, and maintaining moderately complex network infrastructures for the college. The Network Administrator position will support network and telecommunication infrastructure and services across all campuses. While this position offers the opportunity for hybrid work, the employee is required to maintain a 37.5-hour workweek in accordance with State Technical College System requirements and must work on-site as needed to support business operations and institutional needs. Advertised Salary:

$66,400(Minimum)- $92,900(Midpoint)

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in information technology systems, computer science, or related field and experience in information technology systems or related area. Relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor’s degree on a year-for-year basis., Knowledge of fundamental computing and networking methodologies and technologies. Knowledge of networking needs in a virtual environment. Knowledge of local and wide area networking, firewalls, switches, wireless technology, and Internet protocols. Strong planning and project management skills. Ability to troubleshoot problems. Strong interpersonal, communication, and technical skills.
