Network Support Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Network Support Engineer to provide onsite network support services in Rota, Cádiz, Spain. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining network infrastructure while ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime. This role requires excellent technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a customer-facing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide first and second-level support for network-related incidents and service requests.Troubleshoot issues related to IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and network routing.Configure and support routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.Monitor network performance and respond to alerts or outages.Maintain ticket updates and documentation for all reported incidents.Work with internal IT teams to resolve complex issues.Assist with network maintenance, upgrades, and implementation projects.Ensure timely communication on issue status and resolution.Requirements1-3 years experience in network support or a similar role.Understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS, and DHCP.Experience with Cisco or similar networking equipment.Familiarity with network monitoring tools and ticketing systems.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Relevant certifications such as CCNA or CompTIA Network+ are an advantage.Basic understanding of Windows server environments and Active Directory is an advantage.RequirementsEngineer pre-requisites/Tools neededThe engineer will need:a laptop running Microsoft Operating system (minimum Windows 11 but subject to change)a terminal emulator program.
