Global Change Lead is responsible for shaping, leading, and executing structured change management strategies for CD&O (Clinical Development & Operations) and DS&AI (Data Science & Artificial Intelligence) initiatives within Pharma R&D. The role focuses on enabling the people side of change to drive adoption of new ways of working, processes, tools, and capabilities across global stakeholder groups. This role brings strong expertise in Change Management and Agile ways of working / Dynamic Shared Ownership (DSO) to support complex global business and transformation initiatives. As part of the program team, the incumbent partners with sponsors, senior stakeholders, product owners, and project teams to define and execute change strategies that enable adoption and deliver measurable business outcomes.
Your Tasks and Responsibilities
- Shape and lead global change strategies for CD&O and DS&AI initiatives, ensuring alignment with Pharma R&D priorities, program objectives, Bayer’s global change framework, and opportunities to apply bold, creative Artificial Intelligence ideas and use cases.
- Assess change impact, stakeholder readiness, adoption risks, and sponsorship needs across global stakeholder groups, translating insights into integrated change, communication, engagement, and enablement plans.
- Advise and partner with program sponsors, product owners, initiative leads, and functional leadership to strengthen decision-making, leadership alignment, visible commitment to change, and sustainable adoption.
- Develop and oversee global communication, engagement, and enablement approaches, including leadership, stakeholder, and end-user materials that translate complex change into clear, actionable messages.
- Orchestrate learning and enablement activities by defining capability needs, aligning with learning and business partners, and supporting adoption of new processes, tools, and DSO ways of working.
- Define, monitor, and act on adoption and change success metrics to evaluate effectiveness, identify resistance, refine interventions, and support measurable program outcomes.
- Lead change management across multiple initiatives or portfolios, ensuring prioritization, consistency, stakeholder transparency, and proactive management of cumulative change impacts.
Requirements
- University degree in Business, Organizational Development, Communications, Psychology, or a related discipline
- Extensive professional experience (typically 5-10+ years) in change management, communications, or organizational transformation
- Strong understanding of Pharma R&D environments, with preferred experience supporting CD&O and DS&AI functions
- Demonstrated ability to:
- Guide the development of high-quality leadership, stakeholder, and end-user materials that support alignment, adoption, and decision-making
- Translate complex global initiatives into clear change narratives, adoption strategies, and actionable engagement plans
- Experience applying structured change management methodologies (e.g., ADKAR, Prosci, Bayer Change Framework)
- Strategic and systems thinking
- Strong written, visual, and verbal communication skills
- Influencing without formal authority
- Stakeholder and leadership engagement
- Analytical mindset with focus on adoption and outcomes
- High level of autonomy, accountability, and resilience
- Dealing with Ambiguity
