coder who is interested to pick up the maths and financial knowledge associated with quant risk in hedge funds.Day to Day The Functional Architect will: * Define and maintain metadata required for invoking APIs * Support product manager to create buy-in for the APIs both internally and with key external partners. * Work closely with technical teams to ensure functional architecture doesn’t impact nonfunctional capabilities required for APIs. * * Guide development team on mapping of data between various sources * Define standardized way of providing data in an API that is lost in translation / mapping so that it can be consumed for downstream / upstream processing. * Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify, and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that will make consumption of APIs easy, leveraging low code / no code platform to grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth. The Payments Functional Architect Must have: * 2:1

Requirements

Computer Science, Maths, Physics or Chemistry degree from a Red Brick UK or EU University * Proven track record in building APIs and maintaining them. (Via a development team) * Proven track record in the account-to-account payments space, at the minimum. Cards and alternative payment space knowledge is an added advantage. * Understanding of customer needs and desired end client experience for account-to-account payments is key * Experience of working with Financial Market Infrastructure (FMI) participants and under-standing their schemes in different regions. * Understanding of clearing and settlement schemes supporting account to account pay-ments. * Knowledge of APIs and in particular, simplification and standardization of APIs (functional-ly), for use across multiple payment types * Understanding of card payments or alternative payment types will be an added advantage.
