Job description

Project Manager works cross-functionally with several internal and external teams including Legal, Engineering, Accounting, Sales, Trade Compliance, Order Entry, Field Services and Purchasing. Prepares submittals and re-submittals for approval. Handles all project management tasks, customer requirements, contract administration and customer service from beginning to the completion of an assigned project. This position reports to an Inside Sales Manager.

Requirements

Must have a strong technical background, including specifications and bill of materials. Additional skills include strong organization skills, sense of urgency, can learn on the fly, customer focused, timely decision making, self-motivated, team player and ability to multitask.

  • Proven ability to initiate and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers. Ex. Working with Legal and Accounting to negotiate contract terms & conditions with our customer.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as the ability to handle multiple tasks (50+ jobs) and priorities.
  • Excellent customer service skills and be able to communicate effectively on the phone or lead Zoom conference calls.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Must have good technical aptitude & be able to read and interpret drawings.
  • Must have good time management skills and be able to change priorities based on project demands.
  • Attention to detail, good organizational skills, and accuracy is a must have; ability to analyze information, good problem-solving skills, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • PM’s do not have direct reports nor project specific reports.
  • Role will require frequent visits to the Company’s Kimball, TN manufacturing area, likely on a weekly basis.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in business, engineering, communications, technology, or sales-related discipline.
  • Strong experience in mainframe programs that include inventory control - such as JD Edwards (JDE).

Benefits & conditions

Primary work hours will be Monday through Friday. Work hours will vary based on customer requirements. This position is salaried exempt and does not qualify for overtime pay.
