Job description

TCS is seeking an experienced PL/SQL Developer / Lead / Architect with strong expertise in Oracle Database development, performance tuning, and production support. The ideal candidate should have experience designing, developing, and optimizing complex PL/SQL applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment., * Design, develop, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and views.

Optimize SQL queries and PL/SQL code for high performance and scalability.
Analyze and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
Perform query tuning, indexing, partitioning, and execution plan analysis.
Develop and maintain database objects, data models, and ETL processes.
Collaborate with application developers, business analysts, and DBAs to deliver robust solutions.
Participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards and best practices.
Support database deployments, releases, and production maintenance.
Work in an Agile/Scrum environment and provide technical leadership when required.

Requirements

8+ years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL development.
Strong expertise in Oracle Database (11g/12c/19c or later).
Hands-on experience with SQL, PL/SQL, Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages, Triggers, and Cursors.
Experience with SQL performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and partitioning.
Strong understanding of Oracle execution plans and database performance analysis.
Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting.
Knowledge of Git, Jira, and CI/CD practices.
Excellent troubleshooting and production support experience.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Oracle APEX, Oracle Forms/Reports, or Oracle Cloud.
Knowledge of ETL tools such as Informatica or ODI.
Experience with data migration and large-scale database implementations.
Prior experience leading development teams or working as a Technical Lead/Architect.
