Job description

We’re a startup looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our engineering team on a contract basis and help design, build, and scale our product. You’ll work across the stack, from React interfaces to Python backends, with real ownership over what you build. This is a great fit for someone comfortable with the pace of a startup, who cares about clean, well-tested code, and is excited about integrating LLMs into real-world products. You’ll be working remotely with in-person meetups in the West Midlands every 2-4 weeks.

What You’ll Do

  • Build full-stack features using React on the frontend and Python (FastAPI) on the backend
  • Design and maintain containerized services using Docker within a microservices architecture
  • Work with PostgreSQL and Neo4j for data storage and modeling
  • Integrate LLMs into our products, including prompt design, tool calling, and agentic workflows
  • Write and maintain automated tests as a core part of the development process
  • Collaborate with the team to ship features end-to-end and take part in code reviews

Requirements

  • Proven full-stack experience with React and Python, ideally with FastAPI
  • Experience with Docker and microservices architecture
  • Working knowledge of PostgreSQL; familiarity with Neo4j or graph databases a plus
  • Experience working with LLMs (prompt engineering, API integration, or LLM-powered features)
  • Strong track record of writing automated tests and building testable code
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote, fast-paced startup environment
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK; we are unable to provide visa sponsorship

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AWS and Terraform
  • Mobile app development experience (React Native, iOS, or Android)
  • Experience with FastMCP or LangGraph
